Are fittings at Snazzydot Outfitters free?

Yes. Our private fitting appointments are completely free, with no obligation to buy anything. We want you to have the time to try different options and find what genuinely works best for you and your dog.

Do I need to bring my dog to the appointment?

Yes, wherever possible. Bringing your dog means we can check the fit properly, compare different sizes and styles, and make sure you're both happy before you decide whether to buy.

What can my dog try during a fitting?

Depending on the appointment you choose, you can try a range of harnesses, apparel, dog backpacks, carriers, Tavo travel products, dog strollers and other accessories. We also offer dedicated appointments for new puppies and personal shopping.

How long does a fitting take?

Most fittings last around 30 minutes, while appointments for Tavo products, dog strollers, new puppies and personal shopping are usually around 45 minutes. There's no rush - the idea is to give you enough time to find the right option.

Do I have to buy something at the end of my appointment?

Not at all. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase. If you find something you love, brilliant. If you decide it isn't quite right for your dog, that's absolutely fine too.

Can I buy the products I try during my appointment?

Yes. If you find the right product, size or style during your fitting, you can purchase it from us. Our team can also help you look at alternative options if the first thing you try isn't quite right.

My dog is between sizes. Can you help?

Definitely - that's one of the main reasons we created Outfitters. Size guides are useful, but dogs come in all shapes and proportions. Trying products in person lets us see how they actually sit, move and fit on your dog.

Is Snazzydot Outfitters suitable for puppies?

Absolutely. Our New Puppy appointments are designed to help you choose suitable essentials while getting the fit right from the start. It's also a great opportunity to look at different options as your puppy grows.

What if my dog is nervous or doesn't like busy shops?

Snazzydot Outfitters appointments are private and relaxed, giving your dog space and time without the pressure of a busy traditional shop. We'll take things at your dog's pace and won't force a fitting if they're uncomfortable.

Where is Snazzydot Outfitters?

You'll find Snazzydot Outfitters at 5 Colinton Road, Holy Corner, Morningside, Edinburgh, EH10 5DP. Outfitters is separate from our Snazzydot grooming salon on Comiston Road, so make sure you head to our Colinton Road location for your fitting.

Can I just pop in, or do I need to book an appointment?

Yes, you’re very welcome to pop in during our opening hours:
Monday: 11am–5pm
Wednesday: 11am–5pm
Friday: 11am–5pm
Saturday: 10am–3pm
However, we recommend booking a fitting appointment where possible. It means we can make sure someone is available to give you and your dog plenty of one-to-one attention, have the right products ready to try, and avoid any disappointment if we’re busy.
